I am writing to confirm that members of Oxfordshire County UNISON will not be taking strike action on Thursday 10  July.  Our members were balloted in February and as a result of this accepted a local 3 year agreement with the County Council which will match the eventual outcome of national negotiations as well as achieving other improvements.

No-one was balloted for NJC pay industrial action because to take part in a national dispute, where there is a local agreement, would be a breach of legislation and put members at risk.

Members should therefore work as usual while also showing support for local government colleagues who are striking by sending messages of support, writing to the press and emailing councillors and MPs.
