A message from your Women’s Officers Debbie Hollingsworth and Hannah Newell…
We are both passionate about the issues affecting women, supporting work and non-work-related campaigns, and working with other women’s groups to improve and enhance the lives of women, particularly those in marginalised groups. Both of us have been inspired to get involved in trade unionism by women we know who were or still are positive role models for ourselves and others.
Going forward we would like to hold lunch and learn sessions, run, and support campaigns, and hopefully hold a few social events which could include fundraising activity to support charities who focus on women’s issues. We are also here to give support and advice.
We aim to hold an online meeting in October, and it would be fantastic to hear your ideas and thoughts. I the meantime though if any of you want to get in touch, please do not hesitate to contact us.
